Default Fun Restoration Build

Just got done putting this one through its paces.

Rt/N
16 Restoration
13 Communing

Vengeful Weapon
Weapon of Remedy {E}
Mend Body and Soul / Wielder's Boon
Soothing Memories
Resilient Weapon
Mighty Was Vorizun
Plague Touch
Rez Signet

Equipment: +10 AL while Holding Item Armor

Basically you must continually hold your Mighty Was Vorizun ashes so that you have 50 energy. Vengeful and Remedy give great spot heals and dissuade most melee from picking on you are anything you spam these two skills on. Remedy has the advantage of removing conditions as well.

Mend Body and Soul is on the bar if you'll be working with another rit/ranger that has spirits. Otherwise Wielder's Boon is a decent choice for a good spike heal on a target that has Resilient on it. It's too hard to use Boon on the other two weapon spells. You can always leave Mend on the bar, you just won't have the condition removal, but it's still a good heal and it has a decent recharge time too.

Soothing is your cheap heal that will get you through a lot of spot healing on yourself and group. It's a great pressure reduction heal though a bit slow on recharge.

Resilient Weapon is there for you and for other members. The armor bonus is great for soft targets.

Plague Touch for that ever present threat of a sin sneak attack with condition spam. I've sent sins scurrying away with their tails tucked between their legs by plague touching off all their conditions back to them and following up with a Remedy before the sin knows what just happened.

I won't say this build is perfect, but I've tanked sins, rangers, warriors, dervishes, elementalists, touchies, necros and paragons with this and found it to be pretty damn durable. Mesmers will hose things up though so watch out for them.

My favorite is that you can get very nice AL with this build:

60AL base
10AL holding item
15AL Vorizun ashes
24AL Resilient
-------------------
109 AL is very decent for a Rit.

Weaknesses:
Energy. If you ever forget to refresh Vorizon and your below 15e you will have 0e for quite a bit of time. This makes you vulnerable to interrupts.

Comments and critiques are welcome.

Nice build, I am also a rt/n running a restoration build it goes like this:

pain
union
recuperation
Spirit Light
Genereous was Tsungrai
Soothing memories
Mend body and soul
Flesh of my Flesh

~this build works pretty nice as long as I don't run into battle. Then it allows me to first cast generous just in case then pain to do damage, union just to help someone while I cast recuperation to keep my health up. since recuperartion heals my pain as well I can focus more on healing members while my 2 spirits (union is probaly dead by now) deal damage and heal me.
The only problem i've had is if I get too close someone wil use a skill to knock me down and disrupting a spirit summon. But I enjoy it both in pvp and pve.

PS- do you play factions? if so i'm looking for fellow ritualist players so would you like to be friends IGN: War Shaman

The weapon of remedy build is similar to the build I use for ritualist flag running.

I go with
Rt/A
15 Restoration
13 Channeling
3 Deadly Arts

Vengeful Weapon
Weapon of Remedy {E}
Soothing Memories
Resilient Weapon
Generous Was Tsungrai
Channeled Strike (spike assist) or Renewing Surge (better for DPS)
Dash
Disrupting Dagger

It has great survivability, can heal enough to really pitch in when needed, puts pressure on the enemy, can assist in a spike. Can easily gank archers, footmen, knights and even bodyguards. Killing a bodyguard is funny on some maps, you can get the bodyguard's attention, and when he begins a firestorm on you you run out of range, so that it resolves on you at a safe distance. Just spam Vengeful and Weapon of Remedy, and laugh as he can't turn off the firestorm that is killing him.

Holding the flag is an item for the purpose of Soothing Memories and Channeled Strike (or Renewing Surge); if you are on anti-gank, gank support, gank or healing support duty instead use the Generous Was Tsungrai, which makes you difficult to spike out; 695 health or so without a morale bonus and the ability to heal for nearly 300 by recasting/dropping it.
Can be sent back solo to deal with most gankers, I've killed many ganks solo, and as a gank support or anti-gank support you provide a fair bit of health and even condition removal to your team.

Modified to run as healing/counter pressure in RA/TA I have used it as Rt/Me and substituted Hex Breaker (Domination 3) and Res signet for the two assassin skills.
